Provide a Forum for Collaboration among Alliance Members
· Identify topics of shared importance to Alliance Members (e.g. discharge planning, local immigration partnerships, community engagement, joint strategic planning, back office integration)
· Provide expert ‘focus group’ advice to key decision makers (e.g. LHIN, CIC) on issues of shared (system) importance
· Identify areas for Alliance-wide advocacy initiatives
Seek Opportunities for Project Work among Alliance Members
§ From the topics of shared importance, identify specific needs of membership (e.g. leadership, accessibility, cultural competence)
§ Identify interested Alliance members
§ Initiate discussions and/or education initiatives among partners
§ Support any work flowing from initiatives
Advocate for high quality care in West Toronto
§ Collect pertinent information on care issues and opportunities
§ Focus on areas of ‘unmet need’ (e.g. housing, homeless care)
§ Initiate Alliance-wide advocacy
§ Act as an advisor to the health authorities
