WEUHA's MENTAL HEALTH & ADDICTION AFFILIATE

WEUHA's Mental Health & Addiction Affiliate formulates collaborative responses for mental health and addiction needs within the community.  Current targeted efforts include mobile crisis service implementation and attention to mental health and recovery housing.

Composition

Representatives from Access Alliance Multicultural CHC, Among Friends (LAMP), Breakaway, COPA, COTA, CMHA, Davenport-Perth CHC, Four Villages CHC, Jean Tweed, PARC, Parkdale CHC, Reconnect, Regeneration House, Saint Elizabeth, Stonegate CHC, St. Joseph's Health Centre and Toronto Public Health.

Current Initiatives

As we move into the Local Health Integrated Networks (LHIN) environment, we think it critical to emphasize the needs of people with Mental Health and Addictions issues. The Mental Health and Addiction Affiliate and the West Toronto Mental Health and Addiction Quardrant have joined together to develop what we believe are the key statements about housing for people with mental health and addictions issues. We are also endorsing the plan of supportive housing and devising key messaging strategies for the Toronto Central LHIN.
