WEUHA MANDATE

The West End Urban Health Alliance (WEUHA) is a voluntary collaboration of West Toronto health organizations from across the continuum of care, with a flexible catchment area extending from Lake Ontario to the south, Eglinton Avenue to the north, Etobicoke Creek to the west, and Yonge Street to the east.

WEUHA's Governance Committee evaluates community needs, sets annual priorities and monitors Alliance activities.  Over the course of a minimum of eight annual governance meetings, WEUHA actively ensures that the needs of vulnerable populations are addressed.

To reach its goals, WEUHA facilitates a process whereby local community groups can share their insights and initiatives on a variety of health themes so that members individually or collectively can help to "fan the sparks" that are emerging in the community.
